2025 Institutional Accomplishments
Meeting the moment
As technology reshapes work and industry, our experiential model has never been more essential. The approach that has empowered generations of students now positions our entire community—faculty, researchers, staff, and partners—to lead through uncertainty and amplify human agency in the age of artificial intelligence.
Across 14 campuses in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. and through research collaborations spanning the globe, we’re building capacity to learn, adapt, and solve problems in real time. As we embark on our next academic planning process in 2026, we have an opportunity to deepen what makes us distinctive: personalized experiential learning, agile global networks, and translational research that creates impact where it matters most.

Our global university
Since its inception in 2011, our global system of campuses—now at 14—and a worldwide network of employer partners and alumni has accelerated opportunity and impact.
Campus growth and new opportunity
- September 2024: Northeastern broke ground on a permanent campus on Portland’s waterfront; the state-of-the-art, multibuilding complex will serve as a hub for education and research on AI and other high-tech, high-growth fields.
- June 2025, we launched the Dublin Innovation Institute, which will connect Northeastern’s global network with the European research ecosystem, fostering transatlantic collaboration with private and public sector partners.
